We were born with the ambition to make taking care of both the things you love to do and the things you have to do a real pleasure. Life is full of daily needs such as cleaning, washing, ironing and tidying up, but also of passions, big and small, with their own spaces and objects. Thus, from one project to the next, we have come up with something we really enjoy doing: designing sophisticated bathrooms where you can dedicate yourself to self-care.
Modern refinement and Made in Italy quality
In 1989 we started designing shoe cabinets and containers and later we added laundry and entrance furniture, always driven by the same common thread: combining care and dedication to detail with a passion for beauty. Our dynamic spirit, keen to emphasise beauty, innovative solutions and the know-how of savoir-faire, has increasingly grown until we have expanded our range to refined Made-in-Italy bathroom furniture. In 2014 we joined Dall’Agnese, which became DA Group in 2023, a reality that has encouraged us to continue researching materials, technologies and designs with simple solutions for complex problems.

Cutting-edge production, more and more Industry 4.0
Birex production has always been driven by the latest technology. Today, of course, this means following the dictates of so-called Industry 4.0 with a high degree of automation, into which we allocate significant investments. Our Industry 4.0 plant operates in constant and precise interaction, in real time, with the company’s design software from which it acquires data to process it. The panel processing stages are carried out by a machine line that works in nesting mode, thus minimising waste, and runs continuously so as to optimise production times as much as possible.
WOOD PANELS
According to CARB2 standards and FSC® certified.
At Birex we select only FSC®-certified wood panels, which means they come from well-managed and responsible forests and meet the standards of the CARB2 regulation, which requires very low levels of formaldehyde.
WATER-BASED PAINTS
We have started a progressive process of abandoning solvents.
We are now gradually abandoning solvents in the painting process, which already works for matt lacquers, produced only with water-based lacquers. Thanks to the low solvent residue content, we drastically reduce emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which become almost exclusively water vapour.
SOLAR PANELS
In 2021 we started our journey to energy self-sufficiency.
It is an ambitious goal, but well within our reach, which we have launched with the implementation of solar panels on the roof of the production plant. It will have benefits on Birex’s environmental footprint, production continuity and costs.
